Job Purpose:
Join our dynamic team as the Controller, where you'll lead financial strategies and oversee all accounting operations to ensure the organization's financial integrity and growth. Your expertise will guide a talented team in preparing accurate financial statements, audits, and timely completion of the accounting close processes.
Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely completion and resolution of any issues.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decision-making.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions to ensure efficient fund management.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, working closely with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies.
- Implement and oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial operations across the organization.
- Evaluate and implement financial software systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in strategic planning and execution, providing financial expertise and guidance.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the board of directors and other key stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in accounting practices.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with Project Accounting
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Expertise in managing audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience in implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
