This is a hybrid position with three days in our Maple Grove, MN office.

Cybertrol Engineering creates and delivers custom-engineered automation hardware and software solutions to manufacturing customers throughout the upper Midwest and across the world. The firm is privately owned, headquartered in Minneapolis, and has additional offices in Madison and Marshfield, WI. Traveling up to 5% may be required to support project lifecycle, training, or other professional related travel.  A valid driver’s license is required. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS

Supervision

• Manage staff of 3-4 Accounting/Finance related positions
• Create and maintain development plans for staff
• Conduct Quarterly Conversations (EOS)
• Balance the workload for staff members
• Maintain a culture that encourages transparency and team bonding

Manage Cash Flow

• Deposit all checks to bank accounts via remote deposit
• Record all deposits, and ACH’s received to Deltek Vantagepoint
• Review and sign all vendor checks issued
• Review employee expense direct deposits, approves and transmits files to bank
• Prepare and organize data to feed financial models
• Manage banking relationships
• Manage borrowing base to ensure adequate coverage for financing needs

• Payroll

• Maintain all employees pay records
• Resolve any 401K issues
• Resolve issues with multiple states for any related payroll tax and reporting issues

• Financial

• Prepare all month-end journal entries
• Confirm all balance sheet accounts are reconciled
• Prepare Financial Statements
• Reconcile and pay state sales taxes for Multiple states
• Issue payments for Corp tax estimates
• Work with others in the organization to implement needed changes to financial reporting
• Serve as key leader in software implementation for accounting and reporting

• Financial at Year-end

• Prepare trial balance and all workpapers for accounting firm
• Prepare revenue by customer and by state for the year
• Provide information for preparation of R&D credit
• Prepare 401K census for company profit sharing
• Work with CPA firm for any information needed on compilation and their preparation of tax return
• Confirm our statements match compilation, prepare entries to close year
• Insurance Renewals
• 401K audit

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ Years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
• B.S. in Accounting or Finance related curriculum
• Experience with Cost Accounting
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is a plus
• Experience with $20M + Annual Sales
