Job Overview:

Description

USEMCO Inc. is seeking a Panel Builder to fabricate and construct control panel enclosures to ensure that company products fulfill customer specifications. This is a first shift position with a starting pay of $ 19.09.


Job Duties:

  • Read schematic drawings and material lists, to determine required parts and any non- standard equipment prior to assembly.
  • Occasionally cut or drill holes and tap back panels and inner doors to prepare for installation of required parts.
  • Install specified components and screw down equipment, as required.
  • Measure and cut panduit and relay track, as required.
  • Install such items as indicator lights, switches, latches, and gauges on inner doors.
  • Install required labels and legend plates.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Requires education generally equivalent to 4 years of high school and 1 to 3 years related experience in control panel building operations.


Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Read and comprehend instructions and written materials relating to control panel fabrication and construction procedures, quality control techniques, procedural manuals, and safety procedures.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide and use shop mathematics to perform control panel fabrication and construction work.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with simple problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, air and electric powered drills, air powered sanders and grinders, hydraulic knockouts, and hand punches.
