An ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following, along with the desire and willingness to learn:

  • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens, or other…)
  • Machine Motion Control (Servos, VFDs, pneumatic control…)
  • Robotics (Fanuc, ABB,…)
  • Machine Vision (Fanuc, Cognex, Keyence,…)

• Project Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager to manage design, project

cost ofgoods, hours spent, and change order revenue, ensuring projects meet budgetary goals and timelines.

• Leadership & Quality: Support quality initiatives and strive to develop leadership abilities,

whilefocusing on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

• Technology Advocate: Stay informed about new technologies and trends, actively seeking

out complementary products and solutions to enhance [Company's] offerings.

• Team Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with team members, suppliers, and

stakeholders to support project success.

General Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned tasks within projects, collaborating with the Project Manager

and senior engineers for guidance and support.

• Support the development, review, and issuance of Functional Specifications (FSD).

• Coordinate with the Sales team during project handoffs, ensuring any discrepancies or

misquoted items are identified and communicated for resolution.

• Help identify opportunities for change orders and work with the Project Manager to

present themto clients when appropriate.

• Design control systems with a focus on function, performance, and safety, under the

guidance ofsenior engineers and project managers.

• Perform on-site and in-house system commissioning, ensuring all aspects of the project

are wellmanaged.

• Work with the Project Manager and team to manage the progress of tasks, ensuring

timely completion.

• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for pre•engineered systems.

• Assist with customer training and system startup at customer locations, ensuring

systems meet allperformance requirements.

• Integrate PLC controls with [Compnay] software solutions, ensuring

seamless communication and functionality across systems.

• Contribute to project closure by supporting the resolution of punch lists.

• Participate in cross-training with the technician team and contribute to knowledge

sharing.

• Assist in the creation and publication of maintenance and operating documentation.

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot systems as needed.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Positive outlook and a passion for industrial automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 2-5 years of experience.

• Familiarity with PLC and HMI systems.

• Strong electrical and mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

• Proficiency with 2D or 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to project a positive

customerservice image.

• Experience with machine vision systems is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective time management skills.

• Ability to travel approximately 15-25% of the time.
