We are seeking a Contracts Manager to lead and support the end-to-end contracting process across a high-volume, global business environment. This role will partner closely with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Information Security, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient contract execution, strong risk management, and scalable processes. This is a highly visible role requiring a balance of hands-on contract negotiation, operational excellence, and systems leadership, including ownership of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and contracting workflows.
This individual is expected to be in office for a minimum of 3 days/week on-site in Golden Valley, MN.
You will be doing:
Contracting and Negotiation:
Manage a high volume of contracts with varying complexity and partner with attorneys and business stakeholders to structure agreements aligned with Pentair’s risk tolerance and business objective.
Draft, review, structure, negotiate, a wide variety of procurement contracts supporting Pentair business unit product lines, including: NDAs, supply and manufacturing agreements, MSAs, Software as a Service (SaaS) Agreements, DPAs, Engagement Letters, SoWs and Order Forms; event related agreements.
Oversee and manage the contract life cycle from the beginning until final completion and contract closeout. Draft high-quality negotiation documents, review and interpret contract requirements, and ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
Be the go-to partner: Serve as a point of contact for business stakeholders across Procurement, IT/Engineering, Finance, and Operations—explaining contract positions, triaging requests, and moving deals forward with urgency and judgment.
Contract Operations & CLM Management:
Administer Pentair’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, including: User access and governance, workflow design and approval routing, and template creation and maintenance.
Drive adoption, training, and continuous improvement of CLM capabilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for CLM-related enhancements and issue resolution
Support implementation of legal and contracting technologies, including AI-enabled workflow tools
Develop and maintain standardized templates, playbooks, and contracting guidance
Other:
Contribute across the legal team: As a lean team supporting big things, pitch in on adjacent projects—whether special transactions, compliance matters, or other legal operations work
Perform contractual and administrative requirements that are complex and varied in nature, usually requiring some originality, ingenuity, and degree of technical skill.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field. JD from an accredited law school or paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
5-7 years of contracts management experience with meaningful in-house time with a large matrixed organization. Preference given to those with SaaS transactions experience, procurement experience, including vendor management, sourcing, and supplier contract negotiations.
CLM system proficiency: Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management tools like Evisort, Ironclad, or similar platforms. Proficiency with AI tools is preferred.
Strong legal contracts experience, negotiation and cross-departmental collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
