As a Contracts Administrator II, you will be responsible to assist in proposal preparation, and contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned programs with our partners and customers. You'll be able to use your skills and expertise in support contract negotiations and to ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to the Contracts Manager(s) on all assigned sector efforts
  • Provides coordination with other departments, as necessary, in the preparation of responses to customer correspondence and other requests
  • Maintain close, professional interface with internal and external customer personnel (technical, administrative and business)
  • Assists in the review of RFP requirements for contract risk, discussing appropriate exceptions/fall-back positions
  • In conjunction with Contracts Manager(s), reviews all assigned bids, proposals and contracts, including changes, modifications and amendments thereto, prior to negotiation and execution to ensure that they are complete, responsive and correct in all aspects
  • Responsible for 'posting' all contract documents, data, deliverables, funding, etc. to SharePoint; to include the development and updates to a Contract-specific matrix log
  • Ensures contract files are up-to-date and audit-ready with all contractual documents correspondence, deliverables, and other relevant data
  • Administers the preparation and delivery of customer required data and reports in compliance with the requirements of contract; monitor status of day-to-day deliverables and preparation of all contractual documents to include DD250s, DD-1149s
  • Ensures compliance with shipping schedules, design specifications, legal requirements and other contractual commitments
  • Monitors, in conjunction with the Program Manager, performance against the original cost allocation and contract requirements in order to anticipate necessary changes in contract funding or scope of work
  • Assists Finance in billing preparation; accuracy of contractual requirements (i. e. , T&M contracts (rates and categories); cost-type contracts (cost and scheduled); milestone and CLIN liquidation)
  • Directly participates in tracking, reconciling, closing and reporting Unbilled status; lead in resolution of Invoice issues
  • Monitors Accounts Receivables on assigned contracts, ensuring prompt payment receipt
  • Initiates, in conjunction with the Contracts Manager(s), contract close-out process; initiates close-out process based on contract schedule and completion of deliverables
  • Monitors close-out process; ensuring contracts are closed expeditiously
  • Submits for review NDAs, Teaming Agreements, etc. associated with assigned business area
  • Develops and Maintains working knowledge of FAR, DFARS and all other customer specific procurement rules and regulations

Must Haves:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field and typically 3 years or more of related work experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Preferred:

  • Previous Government Contracting Experience, preferably in the Defense/Aerospace industry

  • Previous legal/compliance experience

  • Working knowledge of export relations ( ITAR / EAR) desirable

  • Requires originality, creativity and initiative

  • Requires working with all levels of the company management

  • Capability to meet schedules and deadlines

  • Ability to interpret considerable data of a technical/programmatic nature in order to adequately perform duties and responsibilities

  • Ability to plan, organize, integrate, control, and measure

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $66,918.50 - $92,012.94
