This position pays $23.99 per hour, subject to change. As a direct employee working on a government contract covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA), you will receive an hourly Health and Welfare benefit (H&W) of $4.67 per hour, subject to change, in addition to your hourly wage. H&W is to be used to offset benefits costs.
Job Summary
Working independently and with minimal supervision, performing all activities required to close out all physically completed contracts and coordinate all closeout actions in accordance to regulations stipulated in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and by the contracting party (Department of Defense-DOD).
Primary Duties

Manages and maintains coded documents which arrive for processing from the DOD.
Employs ethical and professional methods to research and analyze the documents needed to adequately facilitate the close of DOD contracts. ▪ Maintains accurate and meticulous records surrounding all correspondence pertaining to the contract closeout process.
Applies the rules, regulations and procedures stipulated in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) to physically closing out completed contracts as well as the SOP from BUMED.
Documents every aspect of the contract closeout procedure as stipulated in the FAR and the SOP from BUMED.
Additional Responsibilities
Assists with any and all close out actions/functions as deemed necessary by the Contracting Officer.
Follows all procedures in the FAR, SOP from BUMED and closes out contracts in the SPS PD2 program.
Follow up with vendors and budgetary professionals for the Government.
Process modifications de-obligating funds that will not be used so they can be recycled throughout the Navy. When the modification is signed – create closeout forms (1594) for Contracting Officer to sign.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be organized, professional and detail oriented.
Individual must be effective working independently and, in a team setting.
