Description

Summary:

 

If you are looking to gain real-world experience in quality control, we have an exciting opportunity at Frozen Beverage Dispensers. As a Continuous Improvement Quality Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals who are committed to enhancing our products and processes. You will assist  in identifying areas for improvement, analyzing processes, and implementing best practices that drive efficiency and quality. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in conducting quality audits and assessments to evaluate process effectiveness.
  • Support and help lead targeted quality improvement initiatives, including events focused on top failure areas of the manufacturing line.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, to drive improvements and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Help create, document, and update manufacturing support processes as part of transformational quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

 

Qualifications


 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of quality control methodologies and industrial engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and data visualization techniques.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Required to stand, walk, type, have eye/hand/foot coordination, grasp, occasionally sit, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • This position works in a typical office and manufacturing environment.
  • Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

 

Additional Information:

 

This internship position is part of the  TXWORKS - Student program. Interested applicants will complete the Student Eligibility Form to get started. TXWORKS-eligible students participating in TXWORKS internships earn a minimum of $20 per hour for at least 8 weeks / 96 hours for internship opportunities. TXWORKS student participants submit their letter of eligibility with the record ID and their college transcript (official or unofficial) with their internship application.
