Description

This position is responsible for identifying, managing and leading continuous improvement initiatives with a goal toward improving safety, process efficiencies, reducing cost, and improving product quality by utilizing continuous improvement techniques.

Requirements

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive a culture of continuous improvement within NewAge ensuring the engagement and involvement of everyone.
  • Identify and assess various problems from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
  • Investigate, evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues including material use variance, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
  • Lead improvement projects to increase process capacity and reliability, improve product quality and increase yields.
  • Perform regular meetings with the teams to drive performance improvement and increased levels of engagement.
  • Contribute to the 5s initiative to ensure that improvements are sustained and entrenched within the business.
  • Implement methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
  • Train and educate the manufacturing team on new procedures upon implementation and on Lean Six Sigma methodology.
  • Ensure changes are implemented and monitor progress and results.
  • Participate and facilitate Lean Six Sigma principles and problems solving initiatives to improve quality, uptime, cost and safety.

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years with proven experience utilizing Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing initiatives. 
  • Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification or higher with strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organization skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to observe business processes, ask questions and synthesize information from a variety of sources to develop understanding, map current and future business processes.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and deliver commitments on time in a fast-paced environment.
