Continuous Improvement Engineer

Overview:
Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a manufacturer that specializes in the aerospace, nuclear, defense industry.
Identify manufacturing inefficiencies and quality issues and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, OEE, and Poka-Yoke.
Conduct time studies, process mapping, and data analysis to optimize workflows and support performance KPI tracking.
Evaluate and support implementation of automation, digital tools, and Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT sensors, MES integration, and real-time production dashboards.
Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, layout changes, and CAPA solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
2–3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor preferred.
Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies such as digital work instructions, smart sensors, or connected manufacturing systems preferred.
