Continuous Improvement Engineer

Overview:

Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a manufacturer that specializes in the aerospace, nuclear, defense industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing inefficiencies and quality issues and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, OEE, and Poka-Yoke.

• Conduct time studies, process mapping, and data analysis to optimize workflows and support performance KPI tracking.

• Evaluate and support implementation of automation, digital tools, and Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT sensors, MES integration, and real-time production dashboards.

• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, layout changes, and CAPA solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

• 2–3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor preferred.

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies such as digital work instructions, smart sensors, or connected manufacturing systems preferred.
