Job Overview:

Position Overview

This role is responsible for leading industrial capital projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will possess strong project management and construction management experience within industrial manufacturing environments and will be comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams while serving as the primary client-facing representative throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of industrial capital projects, including feasibility, planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Lead greenfield and brownfield projects, including facility expansions, manufacturing upgrades, process improvements, and capital investment programs.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and reporting tools.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and client stakeholders.
  • Ensure project objectives related to scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety are achieved.

Construction Management

  • Oversee and coordinate all construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and monitor project progress against established milestones.
  • Coordinate construction activities across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, piping, electrical, controls, and process disciplines.
  • Resolve field issues and support timely decision-making to maintain project momentum.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets and financial performance.
  • Monitor project costs and implement effective cost-control measures.
  • Support procurement, tendering, contract administration, and change management activities.
  • Review contractor proposals, change orders, claims, and project commercial risks.
  • Prepare and present project financial reports and performance updates.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, presentations, and executive-level updates.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively address project risks and concerns.

Regulatory, Quality & Safety Leadership

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, permits, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
  • Support Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams in a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to project team members.
  • Support resource planning, recruitment, and onboarding activities as required.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project and/or construction management experience within industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing capital projects in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with greenfield and brownfield industrial projects is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of project controls, construction management, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of industrial facility design, construction, and commissioning processes.
  • Experience using project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools.
