Job Overview:

The Project Manager will lead the deployment of construction projects, including managing customer relationships, developing the project strategy for execution, establishing and monitoring financial metrics, developing proposals, schedules, and performance elements, and executing project activities. The responsibilities include managing personnel, resources, subcontractors, and project materials to obtain business and financial objectives. Management responsibilities include leading teams for onsite efforts, updating project financials, managing project risks, and overseeing the entire project from kickoff to closeout. The project measurements are profitability, forecast, risk management, and reporting accuracy for various deployment projects. The Project Manager will be accountable to closely comply with corporate, project, safety, production, and industry standards. Additional responsibilities include leading financial and project forecasts, business and proposal strategies, proposal responses and submissions, reporting, and business/project reviews.

Required to be onsite full time.  There are several opportunities available - Yuma AZ, Nogales AZ, El Paso TX, and Laredo TX.  The position requires a strong work ethic to get the job done well, on time, on budget - someone who will do what is needed to accomplish the project.  Pay will be dependent on proven experience, proven capability, and proven expertise.

Sample of Work Expectations:

  • Project execution, management, and ownership. MS Project will be used to manage resources, cost, revenue, etc. Projects must be up to date and report accurate tracking data.
  • Demonstrate civil and construction knowledge; to include all aspects of building a greenfield site, performing upgrades, and maintenance activities in support of tower and construction projects.
  • Develop, review, and manage documentation, deliverables, and other submissions per the contract and in accordance with the schedule and contract requirements.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of government contracting, working with government personnel, and conducting Federal business.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s security and safety programs.
  • Provide financial analysis, scheduling, and risk management for the execution of assigned projects. The management of this spans from presales to post-sales support based on the proposed strategy to minimize risk (cost, schedule, and performance) and optimize financial results. 
  • Report financial forecasts for revenue, cost, production, and support related to profit and loss. 
  • Establish baseline financial performance and set goals for achieving revenue projections and business growth. 
  • Develop and report on forecasts, proposals, business snapshots, and financial performance.
  • Provide monthly estimated to complete and man power schedules
  • Provide weekly/monthly and job schedules and making sure we are on track. 
  • Promotes, executes, and adheres to the company’s safety program.
  • Manages and supervises daily and weekly on-site field safety briefings.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required (Construction Management or Engineering degrees is strongly preferred)

Experience

  • Five (5) years of hands-on Project Management experience in tower or civil construction required
  • Experience working on projects that are $10M and above is strongly preferred

License, Cert or Registration

  • PMP Preferred 
  • OSHA-10
  • OSHA-30 or EM385 (preferred)

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities

  • Project management knowledge with demonstrated experience managing projects from Award to Final Acceptance by the customer.
  • Customer service experience and focus
  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of organizational operating practices or procedures
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in project deployments
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Must have the ability to work long hours and some weekends and a willingness to assume a high level of responsibility for assigned projects
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
  • Costpoint knowledge preferred
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug screening
