Description:

Sunshine Quality Solutions is looking for a motivated and results driven Compact Construction Outside Salesperson/Rental Representative in the Acadiana area. The CCE delivers exceptional customer service while driving sales through lead generation, product knowledge, and confident deal closing. They assist with financing, manage time effectively, stay organized, and communicate clearly. This role represents Sunshine Quality Solutions professionally while collaborating on strategy and staying informed on industry trends.

Responsibilities:

• Transport, operate, and maintain compact construction equipment as needed
• Grow sales and rental opportunities within a defined region or customer segment
• Meet or exceed sales goals and follow a consistent sales process
• Accurately complete all sales and rental documentation
• Contribute ideas to regional marketing strategies for CCE
• Collaborate with Sales, Branch, Service, and Parts Managers to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage budgets and align with company financial goals
• Oversee equipment and attachment inventory for your department
• Support business planning and help shape department strategies
• Use technology to manage leads, quotes, and customer communication
• Monitor inventory levels and performance metrics for new and used equipment
• Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and materials

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $36,000–$48,000 (based on experience)
• Commission: Performance-based, uncapped
• Bonuses: Monthly and quarterly incentives

Qualifications:

What's Required:

• A team-player mindset with high integrity and a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to stay organized, multitask, and handle pressure with professionalism
• 3–5 years of outside sales experience in construction or related industries preferred
• Willingness to work extended hours, including Saturdays, to meet goals
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days
• Confidence in operating, loading, and securing equipment on a gooseneck trailer
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training and company meetings
• Strong computer and technology skills

What's Preferred:

• Experience in the construction industry or with compact equipment
• Comfort with mechanical systems and troubleshooting
• An understanding of John Deere (or equivalent) equipment, and attachments
• 5+ years of proven sales success

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands for computer and phone tasks
• Must have hearing ability sufficient for in-person and phone communication
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend during equipment handling and inspections
• Ability to climb in and out of equipment and trucks multiple times per day
• Visual acuity to safely operate and inspect equipment
• Manual dexterity for handling tools, securing equipment, and performing minor adjustments
