Responsible for the establishment and management of all ATI Operating Materials contracts for the Specialty Rolled Products (SRP) business unit. This includes commodities such as refractories, lime, graphite electrodes, packaging, gases, acids, chemicals, and lubricants.  Coordinate activities pertaining to Operating Materials across other ATI Business Units. Accountable for leading cross-location teams, standardizing processes and procedures. Negotiation and management of supplier relationships, identification of new opportunities, while achieving cost objectives. Development, management and implementation of E-Sourcing tools.


Essential Functions:

  • Manage Operating Materials spend, develop commodity strategies and enhance products & services at all SRP facilities.
  • Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Business Unit personnel.
  • Develop requests for proposals, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and award contracts.
  • Establish and manage agreements/contracts for Operating Materials commodities.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements to develop standardization, best practices, achieve efficiencies, mitigate risks, and deliver cost objectives.
  • Develop consolidated spend analysis and maintain list of contracts.
  • Manage and implement new technology in support of Operating Materials management.
  • Build supplier on-boarding best practices and monitor associated key performance indicator scorecards and other related data.
