Are you ready to join a growing manufacturing organization where you can lead a design team and support the development of innovative workspace solutions? We are seeking an experienced

**Design Manager

** to lead the design function for workspace systems and related products. This position will oversee space planning, product configurations, technical drawings, design standards, and project workflows while partnering closely with sales, operations, and manufacturing teams.

**Summary

**

The Design Manager will lead a team of designers responsible for developing

**layout concepts, space plans, product configurations, renderings, and technical documentation

**. This individual will assign projects, review drawings and specifications, maintain design standards, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of design packages for sales and installation teams.

**Responsibilities

**

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers and design technicians.

  • Assign projects and manage design team workloads and priorities.

  • Develop and oversee

    **layout concepts, space plans, and product configurations

    **.

  • Review drawings, specifications, renderings, and technical documentation for accuracy.

  • Ensure designs meet client requirements, safety standards, and brand guidelines.

  • Manage design workflows to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Collaborate with

    **sales, operations, and manufacturing

    ** to refine proposals and support project delivery.

  • Approve final renderings and technical design packages.

  • Maintain design standards, templates, and libraries.

  • Implement process improvements to increase design quality and efficiency.

  • Stay current with applicable industry trends, building codes, safety standards, and best practices.

  • Ensure high-quality, cost-effective design solutions.

**Qualifications

**

  • Strong experience in

    **commercial interior or furniture systems design

    **.

  • Experience with

    **space planning and product configuration

    **.

  • Previous experience supervising

    **designers or design technicians

    **.

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience collaborating with sales, operations, and manufacturing teams.

  • Experience with design and drafting software such as

    **CET, CAD, Revit, or similar programs

    **.

  • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices related to systems furniture and workplace design.

  • Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Previous experience in

    **office furniture, workspace planning, or manufacturing

    ** highly preferred.

**Education

**

  • **Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

    **

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

**Salary

**

**$75,000 – $80,000 annually
