Family-owned commercial refrigeration company in the Phoenix area is hiring an experienced refrigeration tech with strong low-temp chops. The book of business is restaurants — national chains, full-service, QSR — so walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, ice machines, and prep equipment are the daily diet. Real refrigeration troubleshooting earns the top of the band.
What you'll actually do day-to-day
- Service walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-ins, prep tables, and refrigerated display cases
- Diagnose and repair commercial ice machines, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigeration controls
- Run preventive maintenance and emergency service calls on restaurant kitchen equipment
- Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, and mechanical failures end-to-end
- Communicate with restaurant managers, kitchen staff, and dispatch on-site
- Document service tickets cleanly, log parts and refrigerant, leave the job ready for the dinner rush
What you bring
- 3+ years commercial refrigeration experience
- EPA Universal certification (required)
- Strong low-temp troubleshooting — walk-ins, freezers, ice machines
- Restaurant or commercial foodservice background preferred
- Clean driving record (only hard requirement on the driving side)
- Self-motivated — can run a service truck solo and diagnose without hand-holding
