Job Overview:

Role Summary/Purpose

In this strategic commercial position, the responsibilities will be to establish a trusted strategic relationships with both our external customers and internal sales teams/leaders to position the new platform in the marketplace. In this role, you will collaborate with internal Bently Nevada development teams, product management teams, commercial sales teams & leaders and customers to help drive sales a sales funnel of the next generation platform to align to business commitments.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will bring commercial requirements back to our development teams and leadership to ensure the next generating monitoring platform will align with marketplace needs and sales teams. You will be closely involved in all decision-making activities during the development, validation and commercial launch of the new generation platform, providing a commercial alignment to ensure business and customer commitments are maintained. You will also be the key point of contact globally for all commercial activities associated with the new platform development, being accountable for commercial readiness to all internal teams. Core focus of the role is ensuring commercial success of the new platform, as time permits, responsibilities also include to ensure commercial success of our existing hardware product portfolio.

In addition, you will:

  • Significant focus on leading IB mining and driving value-add upgrades to customer base. With additional focus on existing hardware portfolio
  • Provide close coordination with Product Manager, aligning strategy of product development to commercial needs
  • Cross functional team alignment to software and services organization, providing a clear execution and commercial strategy for solution selling
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers and ensure their need are being met
  • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
  • Implementing new product strategy to drive revenue and ultimately business growth
  • Carry out risk assessment when introducing products to new markets and new type of customer accounts
  • Close tie into strategic accounts, developing strategy with direct account team
  • Interpreting market trends and adapting to industry changes, in-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
  • Support opportunities
  • Define alpha/beta sites for pre-production testing and validation, providing clean handoff to services for execution
  • Implementing new sales strategies
  • Making commercial recommendations to leadership
  • Setting and delivering the company plan alongside other directors

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math), Business, or Economics from an accredited college or university
  • Proven experience showing sales performance growth and expanding business to alternative applications
  • Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and a natural ability to spot opportunities for revenue generations
  • Natural leader of people with excellent managerial and motivational skills
  • Strong background and understanding on Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Industrial markets
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience working in the field of condition monitoring and protection systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct sales with condition monitoring and protection systems

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness and ability to travel 65% up to of the time, including International travel with extended durations abroad

  • Significant expertise in developing, selling, and delivering SW / HW solutions, including creating and executing strategies with a track record of success
  • Deep understanding of the condition monitoring philosophies, vibration analysis and adapting to a changing market

  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting process
