Now Hiring: Facilities Technician

Location: West Columbia, SC 29170

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance throughout airport facilities. This role is ideal for someone with a well-rounded maintenance background and experience working with building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform general facility maintenance, repairs, and installations, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and masonry

Troubleshoot and repair doors, lighting systems, fixtures, and other building components

Complete preventive maintenance and inspections on facility equipment

Assist with HVAC maintenance, emergency generators, and mechanical systems

Maintain and repair airport equipment, including passenger boarding bridges and baggage systems

Complete work orders and document maintenance activities

Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and supplies

Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in on-call rotations

Follow all safety procedures, building codes, and airport regulations

Assist with storm response, snow and ice control, and other airport operational needs

Qualifications

Experience in facilities maintenance or a related skilled trade preferred

Working knowledge of building systems, equipment, and general maintenance practices

Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently within areas of training and experience

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, lifts, and maintenance equipment

Ability to complete work orders and maintain accurate records

Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and emergency response as needed
