We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a premier, statewide commercial contractor with over 20 years of industry stability. Specializing in high-volume retail, grocery, and convenience store builds, they are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join their Commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) team.
This role offers steady night-shift hours, competitive hourly pay, and a company vehicle with a gas card to support job site travel.
Piping & Systems Installation: Cut, join, attach, and route commercial piping systems including PVC, ABS, Cast Iron (no-hub), and Copper.
Blueprints & Layout: Read, interpret, and perform field layouts directly from architectural blueprints, plans, and isometric drawings.
Commercial Systems: Install and tie in service for grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste lines, domestic water systems, and utility connections in active retail/commercial settings.
Fixture Mounting: Mount and secure fixtures according to manufacturer specifications and local municipal plumbing codes.
Field Execution & Equipment: Safely operate heavy equipment such as jackhammers and saw cutters; assist with trenching, excavation bracing, and jobsite preparation/cleanup as needed.
Safety Compliance: Execute all work strictly adhering to standard OSHA guidelines and site-specific safety policies.
Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of recent, relevant commercial plumbing experience (focused on commercial new construction or tenant improvements).
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (required to operate company vehicle).
Technical Knowledge: Strong ability to read isometric drawings and work with multiple piping materials (PVC, ABS, Cast Iron, Copper).
Screening: Ability to pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
Communication: Verbal and written English proficiency for daily jobsite updates, mobile apps, and email communication.
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour (based on experience and trade depth)
