Job Overview:

The Commercial Insurance Specialist is responsible for advising commercial clients on property and casualty insurance products, preparing quotes, binding policies, servicing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, managing policy transactions, and providing knowledgeable insurance guidance in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial clients and provide support for property and casualty insurance needs.

  • Advise clients on commercial insurance products, coverage options, and policy requirements.

  • Prepare insurance quotes and assist with policy binding processes.

  • Process policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Maintain strong client communication through phone and other service channels.

  • Stay updated on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate client records within CRM and agency management systems.

  • Support account servicing activities and ensure policy information is properly documented.

  • Assist clients with small and mid-size business insurance solutions.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance preferred.

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of small and mid-size business insurance products.

  • Familiarity with insurance rating tools and agency management systems.

  • Strong phone skills and customer service abilities.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience working with an independent insurance agency or direct writer preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

  • Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday.
