Commercial & Industrial Door Technicians – Lead & Apprentice | Multiple Openings | Ohio, Pennsylvania & Michigan

Talent Edge Recruiting is hiring Lead Technicians and an Apprentice Technician for established commercial door and loading dock companies in Northeast Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Metro Detroit. These companies are growing and need more techs in the field. You’d be working with seasoned technicians, many with 10 to 20+ years at the company.

What you’ll work on

• Install and service commercial overhead, high-speed, and rolling doors
• Install and service loading dock equipment: dock levelers, restraints, seals, rail systems, air curtains, and lifts
• A mix of new construction, service calls, and preventive maintenance, mostly at manufacturing and industrial customers
• Two-person crews in a company vehicle, starting and ending the day at the shop

Lead Technician (Ohio/Pennsylvania and Michigan openings)

• 4+ years installing, servicing, or troubleshooting commercial or residential door or dock equipment
• Lead tech experience preferred. Michigan will consider 5+ years of door/dock experience without a lead title.
• Lead a daily crew, complete work tickets on an iPad or tablet, and mentor apprentices
• On-call rotation with on-call bonus and double-time pay (Michigan)

Apprentice Technician (Ohio/Pennsylvania)

• No experience required. Helpers, general labor, and military backgrounds are welcome.
• Ride with a lead tech every day and learn the trade hands-on
• Lift certifications, factory training, and mentoring provided

All roles require

• Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work outdoors, and work at heights
• A team-player attitude and willingness to learn
