This position is an excellent opportunity to join the Pratt & Whitney 30K Program Office and positively impact the Commercial Engines business. The 30K Fleet Chief is a highly visible and critical role to managing and improving the safety, reliability, and time-on-wing of the PW1100G engine on the Airbus A320NEO. This requires extensive collaboration with Aftermarket, Customer Business, Engineering, and many other organizations. This role is also a core member of the 30K Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate, implement, and execute fleet management strategies to drive PW1100G fleet safety, reliability, and performance to program targets.
  • Key metrics include: IFSD rate, UER rate, Dispatch Reliability rate, Shop Visit rate, and service bulletin implementation in support of safety risk assessment’s (SRA’s).
  • Team with the Customer Business Organization (CBO) to develop Airbus and airline customer messaging on the PW1100G programs.
  • Support Engineering Change (PCIR) process as a quorum approver, ensuring appropriate Service Bulletin categorization, alignment of industrial, technical data, and material required.
  • Collaborate with CBO, Engineering, Customer Technical Support (CTS), Aftermarket, on fleet strategy, removal forecast, and induction planning.
  • Manage the fleet team to meet the overall program objectives.

Leader in this role is expected to:

  • Evaluate available fleet data, investigation results and aftermarket trends to identify areas of risk, define mitigation actions and monitor implementation.
  • Lead cross functional processes and projects aligned with given fleet retrofit priorities.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality of processes and systems to meet organizational and product goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of experience in the areas of Fleet Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering required; or
  • Master’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering or Business
  • Strong Business and Engineering acumen
  • Project Management, Program Management or Fleet Management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • History of interfacing with customers and executive leadership
  • Ability to influence across teams without direct authority
