Construction Superintendent – Commercial Projects

Columbia, SC | Full-Time | On-Site

Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on diverse commercial projects—from healthcare and education to hospitality and historic renovations. You'll be the on-site leader keeping schedules tight, crews aligned, quality high, and stakeholders informed from preconstruction through final punch list.

What You'll Do

• Direct daily field operations from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and coordinate inspections
• Keep projects on schedule and on budget; identify and escalate risks early
• Review and interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents
• Run site meetings and maintain clear communication with project teams and clients
• Execute quality control checks and document progress in Procore or similar platforms
• Lead field personnel through multi-trade, complex workflows
• Enforce jobsite safety requirements and maintain a compliant, professional work environment

Who You Are

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience supervising commercial construction projects
• Proven track record leading teams through complex, multi-trade scopes of work
• Strong working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction sequencing
• Proficient with Procore, PlanGrid, or comparable construction management software
• Comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
