Concrete Foreman — Commercial Construction | Hood Construction | Columbia, SC

$28-$33/hr+ based on experience | Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) | Paid Time Off + Holidays

Lead high-volume concrete operations on healthcare, education, and hospitality builds that matter. Hood Construction is looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman to command crews from footings to finish on commercial projects across Columbia and the region.

The Role

You'll oversee every phase of concrete work — from foundation design through structural placements and flatwork — ensuring pours meet schedule, quality, and safety standards. Direct crews, coordinate with trade partners, solve field problems on the fly, and keep projects moving.

What You'll Own

• Supervise concrete crews and manage daily production on active commercial sites
• Oversee foundations, slabs, columns, walls, and finishing work end-to-end
• Read structural drawings and specs; coordinate formwork, rebar, and placement methods
• Inspect work quality and enforce OSHA/jobsite safety standards
• Communicate progress and flag issues early—no surprises to the super
• Work with project management, inspectors, and other trades to maintain schedule

You Have

• 5+ years commercial concrete experience (2+ in crew lead/foreman role)
• Solid grasp of forming systems, reinforcing, ACI standards, and building codes
• Ability to read structural plans and specs
• Crew leadership and communication skills that get results
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
