Job Overview:

**Position Summary

**

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Boiler Technician to join our growing service team in Reading, PA. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and residential boiler systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Install, service, and repair gas, oil, and hydronic boiler systems

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in commercial and residential heating systems

  • Perform annual inspections, preventive maintenance, and combustion analysis

  • Replace or repair valves, circulators, expansion tanks, controls, and related components

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations

  • Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate clearly with customers

  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed

  • Collaborate with office staff and other technicians to ensure efficient scheduling and job completion

**Qualifications

**

  • min 3+ years of boiler service and installation experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of hydronic heating systems and combustion principles

  • Experience with gas and oil-fired boilers (commercial experience a plus)

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls and control wiring

  • EPA Certification (preferred)

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and tight spaces

**Preferred Skills

**

  • Experience with high-efficiency condensing boilers

  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS)

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

  • PA mechanical or HVAC certifications (if applicable)
