A well-established industrial fabrication company in Brusly, Louisiana, is seeking a highly skilled Combo Vessel Welder to join its fabrication team. They are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in TIG welding, particularly in a pipe and vessel shop environment.

Position Summary

The Combo Vessel Welder will be responsible for welding pressure vessels and piping systems using multiple welding processes. The role requires advanced TIG welding skills, with TIG welding making up approximately 50% of the work performed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with nickel alloys and carbon steel, performing welds in all positions, including rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding, with an emphasis on TIG welding
  • Weld nickel alloy materials and carbon steel in accordance with applicable codes and specifications
  • Execute welds in all positions (1G–6G), including rollouts
  • Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
  • Perform fabrication and welding on pressure vessels and piping systems
  • Maintain quality standards and comply with safety procedures
  • Work efficiently in a pipe shop/fabrication shop environment

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Combo Welder, with strong TIG capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to TIG weld at a high level (approximately 50% of job duties)
  • Experience in welding nickel alloys and carbon steel
  • Ability to weld in all positions, including rollouts
  • Solid understanding of pipe welding techniques and practices
  • Experience working in a pipe shop or vessel fabrication shop

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in pressure vessel fabrication
  • Familiarity with applicable welding codes and standards (ASME experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to weld quality
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team
