Pay: $23–$33/hour, based on experience
Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Cold Header Operators
for an industrial manufacturing company. We are seeking candidates with varying levels of experience, from skilled operators to experienced lead-level professionals.
This position involves operating specialized cold forging machines that shape metal wire into industrial parts, including bolts and fasteners. These are not CNC machines
—the work is hands-on and requires experience with cold heading equipment.
Responsibilities
Operate cold heading machines to manufacture metal components.
Perform machine setups and die and punch changeovers.
Complete quality checks during setup and production.
Monitor equipment and make necessary adjustments.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform basic preventive maintenance.
Follow established safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
Previous hands-on cold heading or cold forging experience required.
Experience with machine setups, tooling changes, and die and punch changeovers.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Experience as a Die Setter, Die Changer, Press Setup Operator, or Metal Forming Operator may be relevant if it includes cold heading experience.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Compensation
Pay is based on cold heading experience and ability to independently perform setups and changeovers.
2–4 years of experience: $23–$26/hour
5+ years of experience: $28–$33/hour
Lead-level compensation is negotiable, with possible relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
