**Cold Header Machine Operator I: Rockford, IL

**

Are you an experienced machine operator who enjoys working with precision equipment and takes pride in producing high-quality components? Our client is seeking a Cold Header Machine Operator to join their team. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will make an immediate impact. As a Cold Header Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining cold heading equipment while ensuring products meet exact quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Set up and operate cold heading machines according to production schedules and specifications.

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maximize quality and efficiency.

• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate production documentation and communicate any quality or equipment concerns.

• Work closely with supervisors and teammates to improve production processes.

• Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe manufacturing environment.

**Skills & Experience:

**

• **Education

  **: HSD, required, technical training or certification in machining or related field, preferred

• **Experience

  **: 2-5+ years operating cold heading equipment or similar manufacturing machinery

• **Knowledge:

**Strong mechanical aptitude & troubleshooting skills,

** required

**

• **Ability:

**Read & interpret blueprints, technical drawings, & specifications and use precision measuring instruments,

** required

**

**Pay:

** $21.00 - $40.00/hour, based on experience

**Type:

** Full-time, 1st AND 2nd Shifts, On-site

**Schedule:

** 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

OT Available: Friday and Saturday
