Position Overview

This role performs coiled tubing, thru-tubing, fishing, and drill-out operations at wellsites across the Permian Basin. You will run and maintain downhole tools and surface equipment while working closely with the engineering and operations teams. Great fit for an experienced field hand who wants a rotation schedule with housing and a company truck covered.

Why this role matters

When a well has stuck tools, plugs, or debris, production stops until someone clears it. As a Coiled Tubing Operator, you are the person who gets the well flowing again. You will work hands-on with coiled tubing units, drill-out equipment, and specialty downhole tools, and your work directly affects how fast the crew finishes each job. The crew trusts experienced hands to troubleshoot under pressure and keep the job safe and on schedule. You work 3 weeks on and 1 week off, with housing paid while you’re working and a company truck with a gas card. If you take pride in solving problems at the wellsite, this is a role where that skill is valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform coiled tubing, thru-tubing, and fishing operations
  • Conduct drill-out operations using stick pipe
  • Operate and maintain downhole tools and surface equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in the field
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and follow all safety and environmental procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant oilfield experience (10 years preferred)
  • Proven experience with thru-tubing and fishing operations
  • Hands-on experience with coiled tubing and stick pipe drill-outs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Current H2S certification, Safeland certification, and Rig Pass
  • Valid driver’s license (company truck provided)
  • Willing to work 14-16 hour shifts and travel to remote field locations
  • Familiarity with packer systems and liner hanger installations is a plus

Equal opportunity employer committed to workplace diversity and inclusion.
