A growing precision coatings company is seeking a Coating Technician to join its production team. This position is responsible for preparing, coating, inspecting, and finishing customer parts according to specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare components for coating by cleaning, masking, blasting, or other required surface preparation methods.
Apply specialized coatings according to work instructions and customer specifications.
Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and overall quality.
Operate coating equipment, ovens, spray systems, and related production machinery.
Perform inspections and record production data.
Identify and report quality concerns or process deviations.
Follow all safety procedures for handling chemicals, coatings, and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with packaging and preparing parts for shipment.
Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Manufacturing, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or coating experience preferred.
Ability to read work instructions and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
Basic computer skills.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with industrial spray coatings, powder coating, or precision coatings.
Experience using masking and surface preparation techniques.
Forklift certification or material handling experience.
Knowledge of quality inspection procedures.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and handling small parts.
Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary.
