Position: Class A CNC Milling Machinist

Location: Pennsauken, NJ

About the Opportunity

One of our manufacturing clients is seeking an experienced Class A CNC Milling Machinist to join their precision machining team. This role is ideal for someone who can independently program, set up, and operate CNC milling equipment while producing high-quality, single-piece and low-volume precision components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Mills and 3-Axis Vertical Milling Machines.

  • Perform complete machine setups for single-part and short-run production.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.

  • Select tooling, establish work offsets, and optimize machining processes.

  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.

  • Make machine and program adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.

  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following shop procedures.

  • Collaborate with the production team to meet quality and delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15+ years of CNC milling experience in a precision machining environment.

  • Extensive experience programming, setting up, and operating:

    • CNC Horizontal Boring Mills

    • CNC 3-Axis Vertical Milling Machines

  • Strong knowledge of G-Code and/or CAM programming.

  • Ability to independently machine complex, single-piece components.

  • Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.

  • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision-machined parts.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with low-volume or custom manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with multiple CNC controls.

  • Experience machining a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and machine operation.

  • Ability to wear required PPE.

Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • First Shift

  • Monday-Friday

  • Overtime as needed
