About the Opportunity

One of our manufacturing clients is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinistto join their precision machining team. This role is ideal for someone who can independently program, set up, and operate CNC milling equipmentwhile producing high-quality, single-piece and low-volume precision components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Millsand3-Axis Vertical Milling Machines.

  • Perform complete machine setups for single-part and short-run production.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.

  • Select tooling, establish work offsets, and optimize machining processes.

  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.

  • Make machine and program adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.

  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following shop procedures.

  • Collaborate with the production team to meet quality and delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15+ yearsof CNC milling experience in a precision machining environment.

  • Extensive experience programming, setting up, and operating:

    • CNC Horizontal Boring Mills

    • CNC 3-Axis Vertical Milling Machines

  • Strong knowledge of G-Code and/or CAM programming.

  • Ability to independently machine complex, single-piece components.

  • Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.

  • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision-machined parts.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with low-volume or custom manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with multiple CNC controls.

  • Experience machining a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and machine operation.

  • Ability to wear required PPE.

Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • First Shift

  • Monday-Friday

  • Overtime as needed
