CNCTurning Machinist (VTL Experience Preferred)

Overview

We are seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists for 1st and 2nd shift. The 2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential. There is no waiting period for benefits. VTL experience is preferred. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 6am-4:30pm for 1st shift and 4:20 PM to 2:50 AM for 2nd shift. Candidates must be available for overtime, including weekends and peak times.

Job Duties

• Follow written instructions and read/apply blueprint specifications.
• Perform a complex series of progressive machining operations to meet exact tolerances and finishing specifications.
• Perform simple setups on multiple jobs; may operate more than one machine.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English; basic computer skills a plus.
• Preferred: five or more years of combined formal training and experience, or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of machining techniques and CNC machine operation.
• Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures with close tolerances.
• Blueprint reading ability.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently; heavier lifting may be required.
