CNC Lathe Machinist – 1st Shift

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position will operate CNC horizontal turning lathes to produce high-volume metal trim components while maintaining quality and production standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC machining experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate equipment efficiently in a production environment. Candidates with CNC setup experience are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC horizontal turning lathes to produce precision metal components.
- Run production jobs while maintaining quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
- Load and unload parts, monitor machine operation, and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools and ensure they meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate machine or process issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC lathes or CNC turning centers required.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, and inspection methods.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
- CNC setup experience is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
