Position Summary

The Tube Bender is responsible for producing high-quality parts using a variety of tube bending processes and both manual and CNC tube bending machines. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• **Set up, program, and operate manual and CNC tube bending machines.

**

• **Follow established quality procedures and document inspections as required.

**

• **Inspect finished parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments.

Additional Responsibilities

**

• **Set up workstations and select the appropriate dies, fixtures, mandrels, and other tooling for each job.

**

• **Operate additional fabrication equipment, including:

**

• **Accurately process job packets using a computer.

**

• **Maintain confidentiality of customer information and engineering drawings.

**

• **Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

**

• **Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience

**

• **Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining.

**

• **Previous experience bending round and square tubing preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

**

• **Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

**

• **Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.

**

• **Proficiency using measuring equipment, including:

**

• **Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.

**

• **Versatile and adaptable.

**

• **Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

**

• **Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

**

• **Good communication and interpersonal skills.

**

• **Excellent manual dexterity.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

**

• **Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

**

• **Stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday.

• **Frequent use of hands, hearing, speaking, vision, color vision, and depth perception.

**

• **Rotate through physically demanding production runs as needed.

**

• **Work in an indoor manufacturing environment that is seasonally heated and air-conditioned.

• **Frequent exposure to:
