Summary of Position:

Midwest Hose & Specialty is seeking an experienced CNC Tube Bender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior CNC tube bending experience, ensuring safety, precision, and productivity in our manufacturing process. This role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC tube bending equipment to meet specific engineering and production requirements.

Prior CNC tube bending experience is required and must be reflected on applicant resumes.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC tube bending machinery to bend structural metal pipe, tube, and bar to precise specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings and part requirements
  • Develop bending layouts from drawings, samples, or instructions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Choose appropriate tools, dies, and fixtures for bending operations
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of bent tubes using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify compliance with specifications
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC tube bending equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Document production details and inspection results as required
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and keeping work areas neat and organized.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high quality standards
  • Display a strong work ethic and maintain professionalism in the workplace


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior CNC tube bending experience (required)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Proficient in the use of measuring and inspection tools
  • Knowledge of machine setup and basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift for prolonged periods (100% daily)
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 70 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.)
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery, varying temperatures, and occasional dust or fumes
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet production deadlines

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Prior CNC tube bending experience (required)
  • Experience with other CNC machinery or manual tube bending (preferred but not required)
  • Prior warehouse experience (required)
  • Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
