CNC Technician I / 1ST Shift Monday-Friday 5A-1:30P

STATUS: Full Time

FLSA: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:  Randy Leddy Fabrication/Production Manager

Position Summary: 

The position of CNC Technician I will report directly to the Fabrication/Production Manager and will work cooperatively with other team members to provide quality products to our customers in a timely, cost-efficient manner following all policies, procedures, and protocols. This individual will communicate with team members.

Essential Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Provide complete, high level customer products/service and support for all our customers.

 • Process requests of CNC Design Supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.

• Diagnose departmental issues and communicate issues with Fabrication/Production Manager.

 • Stay up to date on all procedures or process changes and utilize appropriate tools to improve process efficiency.

• Provide high quality workmanship

 Requirements:

• The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have operational inquiries.

• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

• Dexterity required to utilize power tools, and other tools required to do the job.

• Ability to work in a safe environment and respect those around you.

• Must be able to observe and interpret operational data.

• Ability to learn technical material. • Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance.

• Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and PTO.

• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Education and Experience:

• Compete CNC setup and operations, load programs, and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly.

• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret work instructions and blueprints including GD&T.

 • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.

 • Maintains specifications by observing milling, drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes adjusting and reprograming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

 • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.

 • Experience working in a results-oriented, team environment. • Exceptional time management skills. • Ability to enter data into computer or tablet.
