SUMMARY
The successful applicant will support and help improve ongoing business activities in a powder metal manufacturing plant. This function will also be a key participant in development of new process or applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Train CNC setup’s and operators to develop strong support across all shifts
Aid in reviewing qualifications for advancement in positions
Help develop robust processing techniques that reduce scrap or improve throughput
Assist in product redesign to resolve product or production difficulties.
Participate in development of new processes or applications.
Tooling Support and maintain an organized inventory of tooling and spare parts
New Product Development
Troubleshooting and Equipment Specifications
Support Continuous Improvement Projects
Limited travel may be required
Equipment PM and maintenance repairs
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An individual must have solid experience in the following:
Knowledge of all in-house machining equipment.
Setting up CNC lathes/mills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 years of experience as CNC setup.
