Job Overview:

CNC Technician

Location: Laurens, SC

One of our clients is seeking an experienced CNC Technician to set up, program, and operate CNC machining centers and secondary production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate single or multiple CNC machining centers, including CNC lathes and mills.

  • Program and adjust CNC machining processes to manufacture close-tolerance components.

  • Install fixtures, tooling, and pre-set tools for production.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, metric drawings, routers, and technical specifications.

  • Inspect finished components using measuring devices, special gauges, and fixtures.

  • Ensure products meet quality and specification requirements.

  • Support production engineering during the design and launch of new production projects.

  • Work with the Quality department to establish efficient setups and programming processes.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and production setups.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs.

  • Identify safety concerns and recommend process or equipment improvements.

  • Maintain equipment and work areas in accordance with 5S standards.

  • Follow all applicable safety and Quality System Requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of CNC machining experience.

  • Strong CNC programming experience.

  • Experience with CNC lathes and mills.

  • Knowledge of machining aluminum components.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and metric drawings.

  • Knowledge of GD&T and Core Tools.

  • Experience with CNC adjustments, tooling, and process improvements.

  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.

  • High attention to detail and good eyesight.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Reliable attendance and a stable work history.

  • Valid driver's license required.
