GENERAL SUMMARYThe CNC Tech is responsible for the safe and quality operation of production on the CNC machine.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for coordinating all activities on the CNC & fabricate glass as required.
- Responsible for correct CNC fabrication work of all glass, sorting and staging as required.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment; cleaning up breakage, disposing of damaged glass, keeping a clean floor area around walking surfaces, keeping station desks clean and organized, etc.
- Participate in any activity requiring additional help and organizing as required.
- Responsible for maintaining regular cleaning, repair and general maintenance of the machines and coordinating those efforts with our workload and management.
- Expected to be instrumental and responsive to changes in the production schedule as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- CNC Tech will be OSHA 10 certified.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cutting processes.
- Assist in design and implementation of production KPMs.
- Assist in identification of KPMs to create a completely accountable, 100% customer satisfaction goal.
INTERACTIONS WITHIN COMPANY
- Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cutting processes.
- Attend weekly 1:1 meetings with CNC Lead
- Participate in daily production meeting conducted by Manufacturing Manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee exerts up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
- Vision requirements include clarity of vision at 20 inches or less; clarity of vision at 20 feet or more; ability to identify and distinguish colors; the ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships; and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Work is performed in shop environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions and vibration. There is occasional exposure to humid and extreme non-weather related cold or hot conditions. There is frequent exposure to constant very loud sounds sufficient enough to cause distraction.
