Job Overview:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the setup of CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling
  • Learn to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to understand machining requirements
  • Assist in the operation of CNC Swiss machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and complex geometries
  • Learn basic CNC programming skills to input tool offsets, adjust machine settings, and perform minor program edits
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on CNC Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as directed by senior operators or supervisors to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
  • Assist in troubleshooting machining issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, with the ability to operate hand tools and machinery
  • Ability to learn and follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in CNC machining and programming
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma
  • 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred.

  • M-Th; 5:00pm - 6:00am
