Lou-Rich is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Swiss Machine Operator to join our team. As a key player in the manufacturing process, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining the computer-controlled machinery that brings our customers’ products to life. Your expertise in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines will be crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality precision parts.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a CNC Swiss Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce high-precision parts. This role requires a strong technical background, a high attention to detail, and an ability to work with tight tolerances. You will work closely with our production team to ensure parts meet our quality standards and production schedules.

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Prepare and set up CNC Swiss machines based on job specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.

· Operates all common machine shop equipment and hand tools skillfully.

· Interpret CNC programs, adjust settings, and troubleshoot minor issues as they arise to maintain efficient production.

· Inspect parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet exact tolerances and quality standards.

· Maintain accurate production records, including machine adjustments, material usage, and part quality data.

· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, including lubrication and part replacement, to ensure machines remain in optimal condition.

· Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

· 2+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to work with high-precision parts and consistently meet tight tolerances.

· Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize production.

· CNC machining or manufacturing certifications are a plus.

· Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

  

LOU-RICH TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

· Applicable training will be completed by following the syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS - Timeclock, IFS - Navigation, ISO) for each new hire and that will be verified by the Employee Orientation & Job Qualification form within the first 60 days of employment.

· Applicable training will be completed by following the CNC Training Matrix (F4400-036). The effectiveness of CNC training guidelines will be determined by employee knowledge and demonstration of learned concepts. Additional training after the first several weeks of on-the-job training will be determined by the Supervisor in preparation to operate on their own as needed. Any follow-up training will be evaluated and provided at the 60-day review or as deemed necessary for the position.
