CNC Swiss Machinist – Bellwood, IL

Contract-to-Hire | $28–$36/hr | 1st or 2nd Shift

We’re seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist for a precision manufacturing facility located in Bellwood, IL. This is a hands-on machining role offering strong growth potential and the opportunity to work with advanced Swiss-style CNC equipment in a quality-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and set up Swiss-style CNC machines (Tsugami, Star, Citizen, etc.)

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Perform part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges

• Troubleshoot issues to ensure parts meet exacting quality standards

• Work independently and contribute to a culture of precision and excellence

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• 2+ years of experience operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC machines

• Strong blueprint reading and inspection tool skills

• Mechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving abilities

• High school diploma or GED (technical training a plus)

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of G-code or CNC programming basics

• Experience in aerospace, medical, or hydraulic manufacturing

• Familiarity with routine machine maintenance

Position Details

• Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire

• Pay: Upper $20s–mid $30s/hr (up to $36/hr DOE)

• Shifts: 1st or 2nd

• Location: Bellwood, IL
