Job Overview:

Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be able to set up and operate a CNC Lathe
  • Candidate must be able to Edit G-Code
  • Candidate must be able to Teach Tools Manually.
  • Candidate must be able to bore jaws.

- The ability to troubleshoot and operate G-Code Lathes

Perform first-article and in-process inspections using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets to maintain part quality

  • Troubleshoot basic machining issues and make recommendations for improvement

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Complete production and inspection documentation as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

  • 2+ years of CNC machine setup and operation experience.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Familiar with G-code and M-code programming (basic understanding).

  • Strong knowledge of machine shop tools and inspection equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
