EMC Precision has provided complex parts in low- to mid-volume quantities expertly machined since 1925. This CNC Style Setup Operator will be responsible for operating lathes with live tooling and Vertical Mills with 4th & 5th Axis Capabilities. Preferred machine types are DMG Mori, HAAS, and Hurco machining centers. 

Primary Job Duties:

• CNC Set-up experience required, 5 years minimum
• Lathe experience with live tooling (Y axis) and sub-spindle
• Read and interpret drawings
• Must be proficient in GD&T
• Read micrometer and other precision instruments
• Calculate/adjust machine settings
• Identify/solve problems
• Leadership experience a plus
• Must be a team player

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Fluent in Shop Math.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area utilizing 5S techniques and methods.
• Responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
• Solid work history.
• Must be able to frequently: push, pull, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, stand, see general and close up, hear, speak, use motor coordination - dexterity as well as eye, hand, foot and use of hand(s), wrist, arms, and fingers and arm(s) in any direction.
• Must be able to occasionally: kneel, stoop, bend, grip, climb flights of stairs.
