Position Summary: The CNC Set-up operator is responsible for setting-up the CNC machine, manufacturing parts and inspecting manufactured parts. |
Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to): · Start CNC machine and perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) procedures, adjust as needed. · Select and install appropriate fixturing for the part to be produced, per posted schedule. · Perform tool offsets as needed, adjust as required. · Pull the inspection sheet and blueprint for the part being produced and perform a first piece inspection in accordance with the manufacturing procedures to blueprint required specifications. · Understand tool offsets to ensure part quality and blueprint specification. |
Essential Qualifications / Experience: · High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. · Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift. · Must have the ability to read measuring instruments, including but not limited to tape measure, height gauge, angle gauges, and calipers to verify parts are within specification. · Perform material handling functions using forklifts and reach truck. Manual lifting for loading and unloading required (up to 50 lbs.). · Basic computer skills required to pull blueprints, enter orders, and load CNC programs. · Familiarity with Fanuc controls required. Preferred Qualifications / Experience: · CNC technical training. · Two or more years of verifiable CNC experience. · CNC Mazak Milling Center experience and Okuma lathe experience. · Manual lathe and mill experience. |
