Essential Job Functions
- Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions etc.
- Perform tasks requested by supervisors/managers.
- Setup CNC machines (various technologies listed), inspect first piece and get QA approval to run production lot.
- Run production lot within all quality requirements and productivity (rate) requirements.
- Basic machine maintenance like replenishing machine with proper oils/fluids.
- Makes appropriate machine offsets to run parts to controlled specifications.
- Complete SPC and other Quality controlled documents properly and per control plan frequency.
- Understand control plans, identify all gages, follow disciplines associated with check frequencies
- Change basic tools (inserts, brushes, etc.) proficiently, in a timely manner and without jeopardizing man, machine, or materials.
- Maintain accurate tool logs and adhere to preset tool change intervals.
- Verbally able to communicate company Quality Policy and explain Company targets for PPM’s and On-time Delivery.
- Completes Labor Reporting card accurately and consistently.
- Understands and complies with proper containment activities and defective product isolation.
- Trouble-shoot basic machine alarms.
- Set-up, monitor and troubleshoot various CNC machines (lathe, mill, etc.)
- Follow setup instructions, verify supplied part programs, and make minor edits.
- Ability to read and understand engineering blue prints.
- Inspect parts prior to QA submission and make necessary minor adjustments as needed to meet process prints.
- Interprets M&M / CMM chart data to correct setup / operating errors.
- Trains operators on machine functionality and inspection criteria / process (SPC).
- Monitors operator quality and productivity.
- Responsible for safety, housekeeping and scrap within designated cells.
- Preferred experience in machining forgings and alloy steels and maintaining tight production tolerances.
- Ability to change various cutters (turn, hob, shave, broach etc). Training will be provided.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience/Training
- 4-year related experience or training.

- Equipment Troubleshooting

- CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Mazak)
