**Summary
**
Sets-up and operates computer numerical control (CNC) Vertical and Horizontal Mills to perform machine functions on very close tolerance castings.
**Compensation:
**
$22-$36 Hourly
**Schedule:
**
First shift
Monday – Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

**Duties and Responsibilities
**
Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
Preps, positions, and secures workpiece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.
Setup fixtures, install tooling, install programs, enter offsets, and prove out machine.
Inspects first run piece and makes offsets as required, spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications (including documentation of results).
Perform other associated duties as needed to continue the productive operation of the company.
Recommend and help implement any improvements that could be made to the existing process.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment through 5-S controls (willing to learn 5-S controls).
Ensure a safe work environment is maintained, appropriate safety systems/processes are utilized, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and other state/federal safety and environmental related rules and regulations.
**Position Requirements:
**
Knowledge of G and M codes
Knowledge of G D and T blueprint reading
Knowledge of 3 and 4 Axis Machining Center
Personally, owned set of Machine Trade tools.
Able to read and follow written work instructions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Able to inspect parts with various measuring tools.
**Physical Demands:
**
The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position at work station
Frequently moves parts weighing up to 30lbs.
Must have good manual dexterity.
Must be detail orientated.
Must be able to stand and do repetitive operations for eight or more hours.
