Overview

We are hiring CNC Screw Machinists with 4+ years experience for a 3-month travelling contract onsite in CALIFORNIA.

Project Specs:

• 3 Month Duration onsite in CA
• Setup Machinist: $36/hr
• Screw Machine Operator: $30/hr
• 50hrs/week GUARANTEED
• $45 per diem (tax-free), 7 days a week
• Private hotel accommodations (we handle the booking)
• Must have ITAR Documentation (Passport or Birth Certificate)
• Must pass a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Setup Machinist $36/hr- Direct experience setting up and operating Davenport Model-B automatic (manual) screw machines

  • 5 Spindle (Not Swiss) Mechanical/CAM driven
  • Must sharpen or change out tools

• Screw Machine Operator $30/hr- Performing all tasks as that of a Screw Machinist, but without the setup responsibilities.

  • Direct experience operating Automated Screw machines, but no experience setting up Automated Screw machines.
  • High volume: 3000-8000 parts
  • Must have experience machining to a tolerance of .0006" avg.

Qualifications

• 4+ years direct experience setting up or running screw machines
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and CNC tooling.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting G-Code.
• Experience with machine setups for production runs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
