Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our dynamic team in Red Bud, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components that meet our customers' specifications. Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to create parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Reading & interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Choosing & loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and product designs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist, with a strong understanding of CNC machining processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with MasterCam v9 or later software and CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
